The first priority skin condition will be ascertained and a 6 week treatment program to improve the condition of the skin will be formulated. The Bodystat Report provides body composition analysis using a Bio-electrical Impedance Machine looking at the measured weight, fat weight, lean weight, water content, metabolic rates and impedance value. Body composition is the amount of lean and fat that makes up the total body weight. Lean comprises the muscle, bone and water. Whatever the total weight, lean and fat proportions need to be within established recommended limits in order to avoid the many health problems associated with being “over-fat” including high blood pressure and cholesterol levels, arteriosclerosis, coronary disease, respiratory problems and kidney disorders. Equally serious is the problem of too little body fat. Therefore fat weight, not total weight, determines health risk and needs to be measured for balanced body composition.

Body Composition Analysis is utilised in weight loss programs to ensure that lean body mass is not lost during a weigh reducing diet. The report will calculate exact calorie expenditure and amount of exercise required to reach an optimal weight range. Sequential measurements can pick up subtle adjustments in body composition despite no change in the actual weight recorded on a scale, an invaluable tool during a weight loss program.

The Bodystat Report can also be used for screening purposes for general preventative health checks since it is  “Fat weight” and not “Total body weight” that determines health risk.
